Хайде да се разходим до Сан Лука * Let's take a walk to San Luca

"Хайде да се разходим до Сан Лука!", предложих аз, без да се замислям, че есенния ден е вече към своя край. Съпътникът ми пък беше достатъчно ентусиазиран от първото си посещение в града, че набързо да се съгласи с отправената покана. И така, към 7 часа вечерта тръгнахме от централните части на Болоня към хълма със Светилището на Мадоната от Сан Лука.

"Let's take a walk to San Luca!", I suggested, without considering that the autumn day was coming to its end. As for my companion, he was feeling enthusiastic enough by his first visit in the city, that he quickly agreed to my invitation. And so, at about 7 p.m., we headed from the central parts of Bologna to the hill, where the sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca is located.

Не бързахме, дори се разхождахме. Спирахме за да направим някоя и друга снимка или да се поглезим със сладолед.

We weren't in a hurry, we were strolling even. We were stopping to take a few photos or to treat ourselves with some ice cream.

Следвахме арките по Via Saragozza до старата порта със същото име. От там продължихме под известният като най-дългия портик в света (3.8 км и 666 аркади). 

Вече минаваше 8 часа вечерта и слънцето беше залязло, когато стигнахме Arco Del Meloncello.

Following the arches along Via Saragozza we reached the old gate with the same name. From there, we continued to what is known to be the longest arcade in the world (3.8 km and 666 arches).

It was already past 8 o'clock in the evening and the sun had set down when we reached Arco Del Meloncello.

От там пътят към Сан Лука продължи с изкачване на изглеждащите като безкрайни стълби.

From there, the route to San Luca continued with climbing the seemingly endless stairs. 

Основния поток от хора беше в обратната на нас посока. Може би това трябваше да ни подскаже, че паркчето около базиликата има работно време и че то е приключило за деня. 

Нищо. Имахме и резервен план - панорамни нощни снимки.

Стигнахме до върха след малко повече от час изкачване. Както трябваше да предположа, красивата сграда беше недостъпна по това време на денонощието (вече 9.30 вечерта). Наложи се да й се полюбуваме от далече.

Most of the people we met on the way were going in the opposite direction. Maybe we should have taken it as a sign, that the little park, surrounding the basilica is not open 24/7 and that it has already closed for the day.

But that's ok. We had a back-up plan - panoramic night photos.

We reached the top within a bit more than an hour. As I had to forsee, the beautiful building was inaccessible at this time of the day (already 9.30 o'clock in the evening). We had to admire it from a distance.

Панорамен изглед към града също липсваше, тъй като беше препречен от храсти и дървета ...

За мое щастие, поне ресторантът, който помнех от първото си посещение в района, работеше. И така, разходката ни до Сан Лука приключи с по чаша червено вино до камината на заведението. А за мен това си е щастлив край. :)

There were no panoramic views over the city either, because of the bushes and trees on the hill ...

Luckily, the restaurant, that I remembered from my first visit in the area, was still working. So, our walk to San Luca ended with a glass of red wine beside the fireplace. For me, that clasifies like a happy ending. :)
